Finally the wait is over, I present to you my tribute to the beast itself, our sun, "SOL."

I knew this piece had to be epic so i spent a tremendous amount of time working on the proper textures for the sun as well as adding a couple sun spots. It also had to be bright without blocking out the detail of the sun. Overall, I am quite content with the piece.

this looks very good. the borders are a efects are very subtle and really make the image pop! critique requested? um, the comet? i think that's wht it is, below it i can see a smudge or someting...maybe im not seing what it's supposed to be but i would blend it out. also, some of the larger stars' shine has a little too hard a circle, which i would soften...maybe. i think it's something i would go back and forth on and ask my sister to decide for me.
