UPDATE: Removed large blue stars, changed color scheme and altered planetary lighting.

No real motivation for this one except for an interesting composition.

Enjoy!

Immediately what caught my attention was the sweet vertical composition, perfectly in balance with the two major components, the planet and its sun placed on both corners.

The fullsize is a must, the textures of the planet and moons are very nicely done. kudos.

The thing that I have would like to see differently are the 'rings'
A more horizontal position in perspective is preferred instead of positioned in serial with the planet...it is blocking the beautiful view a bit.

The biggest moon is casting a direct shadow on the planet which looks odd...

The lighting is great but slightly less would have worked better; also the little spikes of light on the surface is more distracting than it adds something to the overall image.

The colours are beautiful and the nebula formations on the background are extremely pretty, thats why the plantes rings are distracting a bit

Beautiful colours,

this is a great piece overall

Please bear in mind that this is just my humble opinion ;)

Stars are a simple noise filter in photoshop, and planets are various textures and effects you can find in photoshop. Most textures are satellite images
