Epsilon Eridani

Epsilon Eridani is the closest and star of the constellation Eridanus at a mere 10.4 light years away. It's type K2 spectral class puts it very similar to our sun yet slightly more orange in color. Its age is relatively young at being only 3 billion year old. Because of this, activity is greatly increased since the star has not yet reached it mid life yet. Scientists speculate that a couple planets orbit it but it is hard to tell with all the background magnetic activity coming off of the sun.

This is another exoplanet piece, I'm trying to gear more of my work towards actual celestial bodies now!
